Introducing Panoramic AI: Bridging the Gap Between Citizens and Institutions

In today's complex world, issues are rarely straightforward. To foster meaningful public debate that transcends superficial exchanges often found on social media, we developed Panoramic.AI—a citizen-friendly platform designed to enhance understanding of intricate topics debated in the political arena. By simplifying complex information, Panoramic AI empowers both individuals and organisations to engage deeply with the issues that shape our society.

What is Panoramic AI?

Panoramic is an innovative AI-powered platform used to break down complex subjects into clear, accessible information. Whether you are a citizen, a civil society organisation, a journalist seeking succinct summaries, or a public official requiring clear insights, Panoramic delivers concise and understandable information. It can be used by a local, regional, national or supranational Assembly, a citizen panel, or the organisers of any important event.

The platform generates summaries of public discussions, provides answers to open questions, and gives direct access to video or document excerpts for a deeper understanding. By exclusively using verified public documents, Panoramic ensures that everyone can access the information they need, regardless of their background or expertise.

How does it work?

Panoramic employs generative AI to retrieve relevant information from a carefully curated database of trusted sources, including verified documents, transcribed videos and audio tapes. Users can interact with the platform naturally, asking questions and receiving reliable responses without wading through extensive documentation.

Panoramic AI provides three entry points to users:

  1. Suggestions: Predefined questions guide users toward essential topics.
  2. Thematic search: Explore areas of interest, such as climate change or healthcare, to gain a deeper understanding of specific themes.
  3. Open questions: Users can pose their own inquiries, receiving tailored responses based on selected sources.

Every response generated by Panoramic is derived from verified, public sources, with Make.org ensuring accuracy and relevance. This commitment to transparency reinforces users' confidence in the insights received.

Who can benefit from Panoramic AI?

Panoramic is designed to serve a diverse range of users, including:

  • Citizens eager to stay informed and actively participate in public discourse.
  • Journalists in need of efficient, reliable summaries of complex events or policies.
  • Public institutions aiming to enhance transparency and communication with their constituents.
  • Civil society organisations interested in meaningful stakeholder engagement.

Protecting data privacy

One of the standout features of Panoramic AI is its commitment to data privacy. By using the European Mistral AI model, the platform complies with GDPR and European privacy standards. The data collection process is limited to what is strictly necessary, ensuring user privacy throughout the experience. This commitment reinforces Panoramic as an innovative tool developed, hosted, and operated in Europe.

Real-world applications of Panoramic AI

Panoramic has already been successfully deployed in various high-profile settings:

  • It supported the Citizens’ Convention on End-of-Life in collaboration with the French Economic, Social, and Environmental Council (CESE), making  the deliberations and conclusions of citizen participants accessible to both the wider public and parliamentarians.
  • For the first time, Panoramic AI has been used at the European level to support the EuroPCom 2024 conference, the inter-institutional conference for public communicators, hosted by the European Committe of the Regions.
  • For the German federal elections in 2025, Make.org supported by the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (bpb) has developed Wahlcheck 2025 enabling German citizens to access the party programmes and better understand the election process.
  • Together with the French Commission for Public Debate (CNDP), Make.org developed a Panoramic AI platform to ease access to nuclear power debates and concertations.
