The objective of the platform Ask, understand: Supportive Care in Cancer is to make scientifically rigorous information on supportive care topics in cancer more accessible and easier to understand for patients, their family members, and healthcare professionals.
Concretely, users can ask their questions or choose from predefined themes to access precise and reliable information. For example, if a user has questions about the side effects of their cancer or their treatment, the platform will propose an answer based on resources available on the MASCC website.
Each answer provided includes sources allowing you to explore the content further. The sources include, but are not limited to, clinical practice guidelines, MASCC assessment tools, scientific publications, educational webinars and videos, as well as patient education materials.

Launched on the 14th of October, the platform is already a success with hundreds of visitors from more than 10 countries testing the platform. The ambition of this project is in the long run as we hope to make this platform the global reference for supportive care in cancer.
This platform was made possible thanks to the open-access publications and materials available on the MASCC website. It was developed by Make.org and received financial support from La Roche-Posay, which had no influence on its content, thereby guaranteeing the independence and objectivity of the information provided.
