After reaching young people in France, it is now the turn of young Germans to take part in the "Our Europe, Our Future" consultation, run in partnership with the Franco-German Office for Youth, in the light of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

On November 26, on the occasion of an event attended by 60 young Franco-Germans, Make.org announced the launch of the "Our Europe, Our Future" consultation (Unser Europa, Unsere Zukunft). This consultation, which is taking place as part of the Conference on the Future of Europe, aims to highlight the priorities of young Germans for the Europe of tomorrow. It is being carried out in partnership with the OFAJ (Franco-German Office for Youth) and is supported by the Auswärtiges Amt (German Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

From November 26, 2021 to January 9, 2022, Germans from 15 and 35 years old from all the Bundesländer will be able to express their views by answering the question "Young people, what are your priorities for the future of Europe?" on the unsereuropa.make.org platform, which will receive participants' proposals and votes. At the end of the consultation, Make.org will determine, on the basis of the contributions made on its platform, the priorities of young Germans for the future of Europe. The results will be forwarded to the German representatives taking part in the discussions at the Conference on the Future of Europe and will contribute to the Conference's online platform.

These results will also be put into perspective with those of the consultation carried out in France from  May 9  to July 18, 2021, which brought together 50,000 participants and almost 3,000 proposals, and revealed the 16 ideas for the future of Europe that young people in France were most in favour of. Relocating production, preserving biodiversity, strengthening the European Union's action on human rights, developing rail transport between EU countries... The results of this consultation are available on paroleauxjeunes.make.org

From February 2022, Make.org and the OFAJ will present the results of the two consultations to French, German and European decision-makers, so that the views of young Germans and French are taken into account during the Conference on the Future of Europe and the French Presidency of the European Union.
