On 30 October 2025, following a high-level round table at the Paris Peace Forum, Ministers Benjamin Haddad (France), Gunther Krichbaum (Germany) and Ignacy Niemczycki (Poland) announced StrongerTogether: a groundbreaking initiative to engage European citizens in shaping more resilient societies through a large-scale public consultation.

In an international context marked by the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the upheaval of geopolitical balances, Europe is facing new and complex challenges and its security and resilience is being tested every day. In this context, building a safer, stronger Europe is something citizens can also contribute to, as these issues need to be anchored and appropriated by them in order to have more effective solutions.

In order to fully involve citizens in a process of constructive dialogue and reflection of defence, security and general resilience of our societies, Make.org will launch a massive and open consultation of European citizens on defence and resilience, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the German Federal Foreign Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and the think-tank GLOBSEC.

Entitled “StrongerTogether”, this initiative has been announced at the Paris Peace Forum following a high-level session with:

  • Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for Europe, French Republic
  • Gunther Krichbaum, Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, Federal Republic of Germany
  • Ignacy Niemczycki, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Republic of Poland

The StrongerTogether consultation will be launched in early 2026. It will massively reach out to  citizens from across Europe and invite them to share their ideas, priorities, and solutions for a more resilient future by answering this question: “How can we strengthen European defence and resilience against global security threats (cyber, foreign interferences, disinformation)?”

‍The ambition is to help shape the collective vision of a Europe that is prepared, cohesive, and capable of standing strong on the global stage. The results of this consultation will be presented at the Globsec Forum in May 2026 and shared with national and European institutions.
