In order to effectively combat violence against women, the Foundation favours an approach based on partnership, dialogue and co-construction.
In France, it supports La Maison des Femmes in Saint-Denis, which offers unique and comprehensive guidance to vulnerable women and survivors of violence and provides professional help. Gynaecologists, midwives, nurses, psychologists, sexologists, chiropractors, police officers and lawyers guide the survivors with kindness.
In the United Kingdom, the Foundation works with Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid, to support women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence, in particular female genital mutilation, with a multidisciplinary approach that combines legal, psychosocial and financial support, as well as housing assistance, and access to health services.
At the same time, the Kering Foundation strives to break the silence and change behaviours.
Internally, the Foundation organises domestic violence awareness workshops for its employees.
Externally, the Foundation runs the international awareness campaign White Ribbon For Women, for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on November 25th.
To strengthen this international campaign and operate at a local level, the Kering Foundation has joined the consultation “Stop Violence Against Women”, launched by Make.org, as a founding partner.
